The European Young Conservatives (EYC) Freedom Summit is being held in Porto, Portugal at the moment.
The aim of this this high-profile international event is to discuss centre-right politics and to support the spread of liberal and conservative principles. The summit’s topics will include nationhood, international trade, security and defence and the refugee crisis.
It is joined by highly qualified speakers from companies such as Uber, At&T, from thinks tanks like New Direction, the International Committee In Search of Justice, from the Catholic University of Lisbon as well as prominent liberal-conservative politicians. Participants include the UK Secretary of State for International Trade RT Hon Dr Liam Fox MP, Prof Joao Carlos Espada, and the former Czech Minister of Defence and former Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexandr Vondra.
